• Dog snob

    Dear Mr. Moonen,

Having just purchased Miljonair magazine for the first time I forthwith ran into an article on you on page 26 (Issue 51). Immediate appeal was the feeling and I have just looked at your site reference. I see that you make references to dog behaviour and training in conjunction with snobbism and think I should tell you that my mother, a woman of certain and decided opinions, frugalities and snobbisms, made a dog snob out of me. I cannot know at this point if your only reference is to behaviour, but feel sure that the issue of breeding lines must play a part in your estimation of a dog’s character, abilities and behaviour.

Having lived in the Netherlands for 26 years, and tried in various circumstances to explain this aspect of my character and dog preferences to others, I find in you someone whom I feel might understand. What a relief to assume that there is at least one person who feels the way I do. Perhaps you, as I can, can look at a dog or a horse, a watch or a suitcase and see whether it is a quality product or not, and even find that just looking at a quality product gives a feeling of joy and well-being. I do not believe snobbism is a bad thing, nor do I believe that discrimination is bad. I am glad to find that I am not the only person in the Netherlands who thinks so.

    Faithfully,

    Mrs. X, The Netherlands
